Those days when your eyebrow game is on point is so wonderful!
In order to get my eyebrows like this, I like to comb them through with a spooly brush and then use my NYX brow powder to fill in the spots that are looking a little sparse. Then I take an eyebrow crayon or pencil liner and outline them and then spooly brush it in to blend!
So simple and such a confidence booster!

Lip Scrub!
It's that time of the year again where my lips are dry and gross looking all the time. This is a very simple recipe for a lip scrub that gets rid of that dead skin and primes your lips for a good coat of chap stick and lipstick!
DIY Lip Scrub:
1/4 Cup White Sugar
Teaspoon of Honey
Tablespoon of Olive Oil
Usually I just guesstimate it honestly, but it's so simple and it leaves your lips feeling so smooth! If you don't have honey, just sugar and olive oil work great too.
Enjoy those smooth lips!

Conceal, Don't Feel, Don't Let Them Know I've Got a Giant Pimple
For the longest time, I was terrified of concealer. I thought it would clog my pores and then I would turn out looking worse than before. This is not the case and now I can't live without it. It has so many different purposes! It's amazing!
Right now, I'm on a budget, not going to lie so I've been using the E.L.F concealer in beige and I have been pleasantly surprised by it!
It was only $1 so I was definitely skeptic, but I think it does a pretty good job of covering my dark circles, red spots, and whatever else I don't want the world to know is on my face (the sometimes not so subtle little hairs above my lip).
So here are a couple ways I use concealer!
1. Dark Circles: I find it's better to apply streaks away from your eye towards your cheek and then patting that in with a clean finger to get good coverage. Just pat and blend!
2. Pimples and Trouble Spots: Same thing as above, except I just put a little on the spot with the brush and pat away.
3. Making My Eyebrows Look Killer: So I am obsessed with my eyebrows and I do my best to make them look on point and concealing around the ends after you've filled them in helps create a sharper more defined look.
4. Making My Lipstick Look Killer: If you don't have a lip liner, this is a great way to make the lipstick look clean and well done.
So those are just a couple quick ways that I use concealer to help me look put together. I'm not a beauty expert or anything by all means, so if you have any advice for me.. I'd love to hear!
Also if you've tried the Maybelline highlighting concealer, please let me know! I'm interested in this product and still a little iffy...

Monolid Basics
Growing up I was never a fan of my monolids, I never knew
how to do my makeup because I’m adopted so my mother didn’t really know how to
teach me. But after 22 years I think I’ve figured it out, a little. Trust me, I went through some horrible stages of thick eyeliner and bright blue eye shadow...all over.. It’s always
a work in progress, or maybe I should say a new experiment every day.
The most important thing you have to remember about monolids
is that you must prime them! My personal favorite is the NYX eyelid base in
pearl. It makes the eye shadow colors seem much more vibrant and helps keep it
on longer. I’ve always noticed that my eye shadow disappears by noon if I don’t
prime them. Sometimes I like to use the NYX (I’m a little obsessed with NYX..)
rose gold shadow stick depending on what my look is going to be. I’ve found
that that’s worked as a pretty good primer as well.
Another important lessons for you girls with monolids is
blend. Blend your heart out, this is true for all eyes, eliminate those harsh
lines to create a nice put together look!
Right now I’m really into neutral eye shadow colors, I’ve
been using the new Maybelline nude palette and I am seriously in love. In.
Love. The palette comes with a whole bunch of nice nude colors that make it
perfect for a more formal look or more casual look depending on how you feel
that day.
Also, girl, if you have monolids, you have to tight line
those eyes. This means get as close to the lash line as possible. I have skimpy
little eyelashes so this also helps make them appear a little fuller and not so
sparse. I do this on both the top and the bottom. Now, your eyeliner depends on
how you feel that day. For me, if I’m feeling a little more innocent or wanting
to look a little younger, I like to apply a little thicker of a line on top of
that tight line and then instead of creating a wing upward, you pull the line
down. This creates sort of a cute puppy dog eye look that makes you look
younger and innocent I think. I learned it watching a video on uzzlang makeup
and fell in love. Now if you’re feeling sexier and bolder I like to create a
wing with my eyeliner. This one is harder for me because my brow bone is not
very defined so I have a hard time deciding where to put the wing and how far
up to go. You just got to experiment until you find what you think looks good!
If you have short eyelashes like me, then curling them and
applying lots of mascara works really well to make them look better. I’m not a
big fan of falsies for daytime looks, simply because I get annoyed I think and
I haven’t found the perfect pair… but I think curling and applying mascara is a
good substitute!
Don’t forget to finish whatever look you chose by filling in
your eyebrows! It’s important!
Maybe if I feel bold enough I’ll post a tutorial of one of my
day-to-day looks!
Don’t be afraid to try something new, make up is all about
finding what suites your style and what you’re comfortable doing.
